Bounty hunter appreciates job, but knows the danger | Asbury Park Press Online

APP.COM - Bounty hunter appreciates job, but knows the danger | Asbury Park Press Online: "Ali Mustafa has sat in a car for 24 hours straight waiting to catch a man who jumped bail.

Another who skipped bail and who was hiding in attic insulation stabbed him in the side of his vest. Luckily, it didn't injure him.

'We both fell through the ceiling,' he said.

'You really have to have it in you to be in this job,' said the 23-year-old fugitive recovery agent, also known as a bounty hunter.

Mustafa, a bounty hunter since 2002, works for four different bail bonds agents, including Main Street Bail Bonds in Freehold. He recovers suspects whose bond has been forfeited.

He was introduced to the profession by another fugitive recovery agent and fell in love with it.

'It's something new all of the time, and you see a different reality of life,' he said."
