How many defendants, or personal sureties, have paid the face value of the bonds that the defendant has failed to appear on? If it's like the Denver area, none. What is the point of setting a dollar value on a P.R. bond, having a family member sign as well, and then letting the defendant FTA without any consequences? Wouldn't more of these people show up, or at the very least, see a consequence if they were made to pay as well, instead of unfairly ONKLY collecting money from bonding agents?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
